This puzzle is similar to CUT IT OUT, posted 7/10/18, but reversed. Each of the clues leads to a two-word phrase in which the two words are nearly identical, but the second one has had a letter added. For example, LARGE JAIL ON A NAVAL SHIP would be BIG BRIG.
