SIX RHYMING RIDDLES
From What Am I? Vol. 1
Zack Guido
1)
We're five little girls and we all look alike,
But we're equally different in our widths and our heights;
We live with each other, but each has her own space,
We all stand together, in the exact same place.
2)
Use your stick and hit me,
But you can't hit my friends;
That's my job and mine alone,
Don't scratch me at the end.
3)
Thirty men and just two ladies,
Having good old-fashion fun;
Some matter more, and some less,
But any one can get the job done.
4)
One comes before the other,
The other comes before the one;
Like the chicken and the egg,
No one know which one begun.
5)
I stand straight up, I'm never moved;
To honor a life, I'm etched and grooved.
Once I'm yours, I'm yours to keep;
When I'm needed, people weep.
6)
I stand there blushing beside the road,
I give advice - please do as you're told;
And, legally speaking, please do it completely,
Or you might find your self talking to the police-e.
