RECONCILABLE DIFFERENCES IX

GAMES Magazine
April, 2001
Stephen Sniderman

Change one letter in each word in the left-hand column to a new one. The result may or may not be a word. Put these letters to the front or back of a word in the right-hand column to make a longer word. For example, if CRY were in the left-hand column and CENT in the right-hand column, you could change the C in CRY to U - leaving URY. Adding URY to the back of CENT would give CENTURY. If you had TOUR in the left-hand column and US in the right-hand column, you could change the O in TOUR to A - giving TAUR. These letters could be put in front of US to give TAURUS. The longer words will be in the same category (vehicle models in the examples above), and the changed letters - shown in ( ) and reading down, will spell another word in that category. As a starting hint, if needed, the category is shown below the answers.
